Sort letters for quick character cleanup
The letter sorter is designed for small text puzzles, alphabet practice, quick character checks, and cleaning short strings. It treats each character as an item and returns the sorted sequence.
Analyze letter sets
Paste a word, phrase, or short string to see its characters in alphabetical order. This is useful for letter games, spelling activities, and simple pattern checks.
Control case behavior
Use case-insensitive sorting when uppercase and lowercase letters should be grouped together. Turn it off when exact character order matters.
Remove repeated characters
Enable duplicate removal when you want a unique alphabet set from your input instead of every repeated letter.
Tips for sorting letters
Letter sorting works best with short strings, names, puzzle inputs, codes, and alphabet practice text. For complete word lists, use Sort Words instead.
The tool removes line breaks from letter sorting, so pasted multiline text becomes one continuous character sequence before it is sorted.
Upload and download character output
Upload text-like files, PDFs, or DOCX documents when your character source is stored in a file. Download the sorted letters as TXT, PDF, DOC, or DOCX depending on where you plan to reuse the result.
The same responsive workspace is used across sorter tools, so the input, output, options, and file controls remain familiar.
